Real jobs for a real recovery
Ohio is losing jobs to surrounding states by the thousands. Ohio is the 47th highest tax state in America. Craig believes that we must cut taxes and reduce red tape that chokes businesses in order to create an environment that encourages Ohio businesses to stay in Ohio. He believes it is past time to help the people who actually pull the wagons, not the ones who are riding in them.
Balancing the Budget
Ohio will enter a new fiscal year in less than 12 months and at the same time will inherit an $8 billion deficit, which was created by the current administration and a Democrat majority in the People’s House. This deficit has accurately described as a “ticking time bomb” and must be addressed in the next General Assembly. The leaders who are elected this November are the people who will have a profound impact on our future and our viability as a state. Craig Newbold has the will and tenacity to make the choices that are right for Ohio now and tomorrow.
School Choice
Craig Newbold is a strong advocate for school choice and believes that we can improve our education system through competition. He will fight to provide better opportunities for Ohio’s children.
Making Ohio Schools more efficient for our children and teachers
Ohio ranks 47th out of 50 states in putting money into the classroom, but it is 9th out of all the states in overhead spending. Craig wants to see changes made that will make sure the money set aside for our schools really gets into the classrooms and not just into overhead and bureaucracies.

Craig believes we must create a tax climate that allows Ohio to compete with other states to attract new businesses, foster job creation, and keep our precious, existing jobs here.

Craig Newbold believes we must skinny-down state bureaucracy to ensure taxpayers are getting their money’s worth, and reform state government into a 21st century partner with Ohio's job creators – not one that punishes business with outdated or unnecessary regulation.
